If you don’t recognize who the angel is, then you need to read this post!
So Angels We Have Heard on High is one of my favorite Christmas carols. The song was written to commemorate Jesus’ birth, as told in Luke. It was translated in 1852 to English, and has been sung in almost every language by countless artists, my choice being REO Speedwagon.
My favorite part is when they sing “gloria” during the chorus. I just love how clearly the song is written, as every word conjures an image in your mind as you sing.
For the previous Christmas carol, go to Inner Beauty
Hey everyone, I am so sad to say this, but I just can’t complete the 12 Posts of Christmas. I thought I would but I ended up catching a virus and getting really sick, along with having family/holiday things starting to occur. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and I promise you I will try to post something for Christmas.
Not to leave you all completely high and dry I’m going to end with my six favorite Christmas Carols.
6) Angels We Have Heard on High!
It’s such a pretty song! Plus the chorus is so fun to sing along with.
5) The 12 Days of Christmas
Who doesn’t like this song? It’s just fun to sing.
4) The Christmas Song
Another Bing Crosby! I just love his voice and this song!
3) The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late)
Com’on it’s chipmunks! What could be cuter! Alvin and Theodore were always my favorites.
2) Do You Hear What I Hear?
I first heard it in The Little Drummer Boy sequel and loved it! It’s so pretty and here is a video of Bing Crosby singing in his melodious voice. I love the part that goes “a star, a star, way up in the night with a tail as long as a kite”.
1) We Wish You A Merry Christmas
My favorite verse is bring us some figgy pudding! We won’t go until we get some! I just love the fact that the carolers are demanding it! It always makes me laugh when I sing it.
