Perfectea, A Perfect Cup of Tea or Tea for Two

So you know how much I love tea:

And then I got into loose leaf tea. That can take a lot of time and work. You heat the water, fill the little infuser, steep-thats the easy part. The hard part is trying to clean your infuser, it takes forever!

So much time

But then I went to Teavana and I saw the coolest thing ever!

An infuser that makes two perfect cups of tea and is so easy to clean-Perfectea.

And it really is perfect! I just love it so much! It is so easy to use, to clean, etc. Just watch it, you will want one too.

It makes two cups of tea- the perfect amount for tea time with a friend:

Or if you are like me- the perfect cup of tea. Yep, I love tea and a lot of it.

All you do is:

  1. Scoop two teaspoons of whatever tea you love and place in the infuser.
  2. Add hot water and steep according to tea instructions.
  3. Place infuser over a mug and push it down, allowing the tea to come out and fill it.
  4. Add sugar, milk, cream, or creamer.

Fantastic! I love it so much I can’t stop using it.

Crasins Scones

What goes better with a Jane Austen novel than scones? Nothing! As I just love to read my books with a good cup of tea and a scone I just had to reblog this post from my sister blog.

Thoughts Before Baking:

I was going to a tea party and decided to bring some scones. The recipe in The Cat Who… Cookbook, that I got from my brother blog TheCatWhoWroteaBlog.wordpress.com sounded good but I didn’t have all the ingredients needed.

oopsmybad

So I had to substitute. Let’s see how these turn out.

The Dark, Dark, Dark Side

So you all know how much I love tea.

teaWisdom

But you might not know what my favorites are. I used to be a fan of fruit or mint, but now my loves are Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Chai Noir, or any variation of black chai. You know the dark teas. As I always say, the darker the better.

And the fun we have...

So the other day I was shopping for more tea, when I spotted some on sale for $1.65.

Say What

Most tea ranges from 2.99 to 3.99. It is never that low.

ShutUpTake MY Money

It was a new tea by Bigelow. They had made an American Breakfast tea, saying that we needed our own to add to the English and Irish Breakfast teas. I decided to buy it and then later threw away my receipt as I didn’t need it anymore.

It was only afterwards that I saw it has 50% more caffeine in it.

OhNOthisisgonnabebad

Now I don’t do well with caffeine. If I have a little of it, I am up all night and bouncing off the walls. The next day I feel sick, have a gigantic headache, and just want to sleep. It like having a hangover.

WakeUpNoThankYou

But I thought maybe this time it won’t be so bad. I decided to try it out.

And it was…

It was awful!

It was darker than dark. It was so dark and strong I had to throw in a bunch of cream and sugar.

StirsTea

It was as if the makers of Bigelow thought Americans don’t like tea, only coffee; so let’s make the most coffee-est tea we can. For me it was good was far too strong.

Definitely not my cup of tea. I’m sticking with Earl Grey from now on.

It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me

Music

No song can better describe what kind of music I love then this one. Now it’s true that I love a wide range of music

Go here to see what you are.

Go here to see what you are.

Heavy metal, jazz, motown, pop, punk, etc- but my all time favorite will be rock ‘n roll.

Rock n' Roll Rock of Ages 2012

I mean how can you not love it?

RocknRollbacktothefuture

It is crucial in music history as through it other genres were developed.

School of rock history of rock

And there are so many forms of rock: glam rock, punk rock, alternative rock, folk rock, soft rock, hard rock, classic rock, progressive rock, psychedlic rock, pop rock, rock-a-bily, country rock, etc. But it seems today no one cares about rock or rock bands. All they like are pop or rap or hip hop. This is how I feel

But Rock is the best! Here are 100 great rock riffs:

So that’s why this song describes my love for rock perfectly.

Old Time Rock & Roll by Bob Seger

Just take those old records off the shelf
I’ll sit and listen to ’em by myself
Today’s music ain’t got the same soul
I like that old time rock ‘n’ roll
Don’t try to take me to a disco
You’ll never even get me out on the floor
In ten minutes I’ll be late for the door
I like that old time rock ‘n’ roll

Still like that old time rock ‘n’ roll
That kind of music just soothes the soul
I reminisce about the days of old
With that old time rock ‘n’ roll
Won’t go to hear ’em play a tango
I’d rather hear some blues or funky old soul
There’s only one sure way to get me to go
Start playing old time rock ‘n’ roll
Call me a relic, call me what you will
Say I’m old-fashioned, say I’m over the hill
Today’s music ain’t got the same soul
I like that old time rock ‘n’ roll

Still like that old time rock ‘n’ roll
That kind of music just soothes the soul
I reminisce about the days of old
With that old time rock ‘n’ roll

And just cause…

Yep, love those oldies.
