Tired With a Capital T

im-back

Yes, GISHWHES is over and I’m back to blogging.

Double double yay

This year had some fun and crazy items to do. I did seven days of happiness, making a different person happy with a kind act every day. That was a lot of fun.

dean whinchester shrug smile oh well

Went prospecting in a public fountain. And my friend and I played badminton in the mall food court for 30 mins without anyone even noticing. Everyone was too busy on their phones.

Phew!

Then we had to wear white and get red wine poured on us from a two story building.

ew! Gross Yuck

I taped coupons to five items in the store to help someone out, a coupon fairy.

I made postcards for William Shatner wishing he has joined us in GISHWHES.

Screamer: He's in Florida your majesty, he sent this postcard. Dracula: Hmmmm... [reading] 'Dear Drac, am having wonderful time in retirement, glad you're not here, Wolfy.' Bah! How dare he retire just before the Monster Road Rally? Doesn't he know all the monsters of my realm have to be in the race?"

Made a mural all about the wonderful Honeybees and what they do for us.

Did five chores for a mom who is overworked (in honor of Mr. Rogers). Serenaded a store employee who is overworked with a musical instrument I made myself.

Dressed up a a Jedi and went to get a root beer float at a ’50s diner.

I turned 15 people into robots! (their facebook pics).

metropolis-Robot

I put a compilation of our team pics together, representing where we were from. I even used The Brady Bunch font for our names. (I hope they notice and give extra points!) For the people who didn’t give a photo I had to replace them with Misha Collins.

And I “buried” a person in popcorn in box (for the coffin, I couldn’t get a real one) in a mausoleum.

Dracula

And I did this all between my regular three jobs and donating my Saturday to a children’s free backpack fair. There was a lot more I wanted to do, but just ran out of time.

And that being said I am now tired. Tired with a capital T, which rhymes with P, which stands for pooped out.

i'mtired

But it was worth it. It was nice taking a week out and having this big adventure, doing all kinds of things you wouldn’t normally do.

Mal_huh Whoa Wow what

But now back to regular things like laundry, bills, repairs, cleaning, etc. You know all those things I ignored last week. That is…after a long nap…or reading.

Day 3) Bullet Your Whole Day

So I didn’t do too many interesting things today, but here we go:

  • I woke up at five in the morning and let the cat outside.

GarfieldCatGoinandOut

  • After that I went back to sleep as I was tired and it was too early to get up.

3) I ate Apple Jacks for breakfast.

  • 4) I finished reading The Disappearance of Edwin Drood, by Peter Rowland, a retelling of Charles Dickens’s novel The Mystery of Edwin DroodThe Mystery of Edwin Drood was Dicken’s last novel and declared unsolvable as it is unfinished. In this version, Sherlock Holmes is on the case in order to find out what happened to Edwin Drood.

  • 5) I took a shower, did my makeup, and straightened my hair: while watching Bones.

  • 6) After I was ready for the day I got a book ready for mailing, And then I wrote a letter to Kirk Douglas. I had previously printed a picture and was going to send it to be autographed. 🙂 Love him!

  • 7) Afterwards I went to the post office in which I had to wait in a super long line to mail my packages. They had a million people, but only two workers. Horrible!

  • 8) After the post office I went to Staples to buy school supplies. The supplies aren’t for me, but for a backpack I was donating to children who are in need. Let me tell you, Staples advertises that they have cheap supplies, but they hide them so deeply in the store so that you have to sift through the more expensive things to find them.

  • 9) From there I went to a thrift store to buy a cheap dress. I am doing a secret project that I cannot talk about as I am on strict orders. Sorry! But I needed something I didn’t care about to mess with.

  • 10) After the thrift store I went to the Dollar Tree to pick up some more school supplies and some fake flowers.

  • 11) After that I headed home to have dinner.

  • 12) After dinner I went to work. We did an art project with the kids today, painting shirts.

  • 13) After the kids finished that we worked on a mural together all on kindness and happiness.

  • 14) I returned home in which I spent time on twitter and facebook

  • 15) After hanging out on the internet I then attempted to make dinosaur marshmallow filled cookies. (Which were AWESOME!)

  • 16) I watched An Amish Murder, a Lifetime movie, but it wasn’t that good. It didn’t focus on the mystery as much as Neve Campbell’s character having left the faith and her strained relations. It was nice seeing her still as tough as she was in Scream.

  • 17) After cookies + film, I then moved on to WordPress, in order to finish this post for you all.

Day 8) Favorite Disney Female Sidekick

Merryweather

So I haven’t really talked a lot about my family on here. I tend to try and stay away from making posts about people I know as if they ever read this I don’t want them getting upset with me.  So I have two older siblings, Paige and Holly. Now I love Sleeping Beauty a lot, in fact Aurora is my favorite princess (second to Princess Leia). I wanted to be her (and was for two Halloweens) and used to act it out every year. Now I don’t know if my sister Paige was trying to be mean to me or create a bond between the three of us girls (when I was a little girl I always thought it was the first one), but she would tell me that I couldn’t be Aurora I had to be Merryweather. Paige was to be the leader Flora, Holly Fauna, and I had to be Merryweather. Now as a kid I hadn’t having to be be her, but you know what, the older I get the more I realize what an awesome character she is. She is smart, caring, sassy, and just plain hilarious. And she sounds just like me.

Like wanting to turn the people you hate into a toad? I agree, let’s take them out.

Sleeping beauty

She’s not afraid to speak her mind and give her opinion on things, although sometimes it bites her in the butt.

large

Plus you gotta love Merryweather for the fact that she’s the smartest of the three fairies. First of all she saves Aurora’s life.

And then saves it again

“Flora: I’ll turn her into a flower.
Merryweather: Maleficent?
Flora: [chuckles] No, no, dear. The princess.
Fauna: Oh, she’d make a lovely flower.
Flora: Don’t you see? A flower can’t prick its finger.
Merryweather: It hasn’t any.
Fauna: That’s right.
Flora: She’ll be perfectly safe.
Merryweather: Until Maleficent sends a frost.
Flora: [laughs, then stops abruptly] Yes… oh dear.”

Plus she is the only one who actually knows how to do any thing without her wand.

[preparing for Aurora’s birthday party]
Merryweather: But, I never baked a *fancy* cake.
Flora: Oh, you won’t have to, dear!
Fauna: *I’m* going to bake the cake!
Merryweather: You?
Flora: Oh, she’s always wanted to, dear, and this is her last chance.
Merryweather: [doubtfully] Well…
Fauna: I’m going to make it 15 layers with pink and blue forget-me-nots.
Fauna: And *I’m* making the dress.
Merryweather: But you can’t sew! And she’s *never* cooked!”

Yep Merryweather’s been doing it all.

Sleeping Beauty

Plus Merryweather doesn’t care whether or not Aurora marries a prince, she just wants her to be happy.

“Merryweather: [irked] Ooh, I don’t see why she has to marry any old… prince!”
