I blame her for my high expectations of men and obsessions that she caused. I mean the men she created are just tooooo perfect!

So here we have a guy that acts like a total jerk, I mean absolutely awful, but then does a complete 360 when he realizes that he was horrible to the girl he loved. Not only does he do everything he can to change Elizabeth’s opinion of him but does everything he can to help her and her family.

Colonel Brandon

Here is a guy who loved a girl and lost her to someone else. He loved her so much he was willing to raise her daughter and treat her as his own. He then falls for another girl and watches her fall for another, less worthy of her, but does nothing but try to be her friend through it all. When she is in trouble he is willing to do anything, risk any storm, travel over many miles all for her.

So romantic!

Mr. Knightly

He’s loved Emma for a while but thinks that she deserves more. So instead of saying anything or doing anything he stays content being her friend and helping her through every mess she throws herself into. I mean he travels through any element to be by Emma’s side; he’s better than the post office.

He also likes her for more than just her beauty and charm as he loves her mind. He’s a man of substance and wants a women who can challenge him and his thinking.

Because he knows her father’s delicate state of mind and that he wouldn’t survive without his daughter around, he gives up living at his house and moves in with her. Can you imagine a wealthy guy who’s been used to having everything his way, give up that independence so that he can make his bride and father-in-law happy? Aw, he is sooooooooo romantic!

Mr. Tilney

Here is a guy who threw away his inheritance all for Catherine. He loved her so much, he didn’t care that she wasn’t rich, he didn’t care that he would be cut off; all he cared about was making Catherine his wife.

So romantic!

Yep Mr. Tilney is perfect for me. Not only do I think so but it has been confirmed by Buzzfeed.

Capt. Wentwoth

So here we have a guy who loved this girl so much and had his heartbroken by her. He thought that she broke up with him because he was poor. He has made a huge success of himself, is rich, but has never forgotten her.

He comes on leave and runs into her. He thinks he is over her, but tries to make her jealous by hanging around with other girls. However, he realizes that he still cares for her and when he finds out that  she didn’t dump him because he was poor, he begins to hope again.

Then doing everything he can to win her back and make her dreams come true.

He writes the most absolutely beautiful “let’g get back together” letter ever imaginable.

For a Pessimist, I’m Pretty Optimistic

 

So this starts off another episode in our heartbreak series. Yep this is:

So as I mentioned before Paramore was a band I got into recently and love. This album Riot! has a lot of songs that deal with heartbreak, such as That’s What You Get, which I did an earlier post on. I just love this song because I feel that it captures how one feels after a disappointing relationship in which the person they trusted, loved, and cared for broke their trust and hurt them deeply.

In fact the guitarist and writer of the song, Josh Farro, said that he wrote the song to express what it is like to put “your faith in someone and they blow it.”

You probably know where this post is headed. Yep, its the next step in the Heartbreak playlist. We are now on:

Chin Up Kid

So here is another installment in the series of “Songs to Help You Get Over Heartbreak”. So we have moved past the crying and weeping, past regretfulness and love stinks, and now are at realization that it is a part of life. It happened once, and will again.

With this realization, it doesn’t always mean that you are over it (everyone moves on at their own speed) but that you are closer to being completely over it. This next song is:

9) Chin Up Kid by Forever the Sickest Kids

So this is another band I got into after listening to the Vans Warped Tour 2013 CD. Now I listened to this song over and over and over and over and over again, when I was dealing with my breakup. I really like it because of the lyrics, how true they are; along with having being a really upbeat song that makes you feel good. Plus their music video is amazing!!! You are going to love it!!!

The band wrote the song for those specific reasons.

“It’s a feeling that anyone who’s been through heartbreak will recognize. ‘Chin Up Kid’ can be a very relatable song to most. We wrote this song about keeping your head up through heartbreak and trying times. Young love can come and go before you realize you even had it. We hope this song motivates the listener to find inner strength to keep moving on and pressing forward.”

Yep, you’ve guessed, its another song on our heartbreak list. This one is:

So Paramore was a band suggested by my ex, but I never got a chance to listen to it as we broke up before I reached the CD in the large stack.

The music video was created at a time when the band almost broke up as they were having personal issues with each other. (Kinda ironic huh?) The music video is of two lovers and are having a great time when the boyfriend meets someone and lives his girlfriend in the dust. Very sad.

I actually don’t like the video as much as the lyrics. It just describes how you feel after being dumped.
