The Temporal Junction Point for the Entire Space-Time Continuum

Marty McFly: That’s right, Doc. November 12, 1955.

Doc: Unbelievable, that old Biff could have chosen that particular date. It could mean that that point in time inherently contains some sort of cosmic significance. Almost as if it were the temporal junction point for the entire space-time continuum. On the other hand, it could just be an amazing coincidence.

So I’m sure some of you might be wondering, with me as crazy holiday obsessed as I am, how could I let November 5th go by without a single word?

In 2012, I celebrated it being the day that Doc Brown created time travel. Props to Doc.

And in 2014, I decided it was time to give V for Vendetta a little time to shine.

This year I decided I was going to ignore both of those for something bigger. Something more important:

Yes, this is the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future, marking this this year as the 60th anniversary of this dance; this crucial moment in time. Not only is it the date that Marty is able to save the future, by ensuring his parents end up together.

But the date in which Biff is finally taken down a peg, and cemented as a loser no longer a bully.

The moment Marty “creates” rock ‘n roll, and heavy metal.

And when he not only manages to harness lightening, but is able to get sent back to 1985.

But that’s not all. In Back to the Future II, Marty goes back to 1985 in order to steal an almanac 2015 Biff  gave to 1955 Biff, in order to we don’t have an evil future.

He he has to spy:

In order to ensure we have the right future.

Yep. Happy Anniversary Temporal Junction Point for the Entire Space-Time Continuum (or the Enchantment Under the Sea dance).

Rock You Like a Hurricane

Just kidding!

I love Rock You Like a Hurricane by The Scorpions. It always reminds me of my friend Amelia because it used to be her ringtone for a really long time.

Rock You Like a Hurricane has been a huge hit through the years; number 25 in the USA Billboard Hot 100, number 31 on VH1’s 40 Greatest Metal Songs, VH1’s 18th greatest hard rock songs of all time, and the the number 4 best riff of the 80’s. It’s an awesome song that bridges the gap between rock and metal.

Don’t worry Spock, I feel the same way.

Love it so much! I mean just the opening chords and lyrics, and I’m pumped and ready to get going with this song.

Unbound

If you’ve read my earlier posts on Avenged Sevenfold, you know that I absolutely love the band. I think the members are absolutely HOT! One of which is M. Shadows. You know how I’m into heavy metal. 🙂

If you read my earlier post Unbound (The Wild Ride) you’d know that this song was one that I really enjoyed as it not only was a great song, but really helped me get over my breakup with my ex. (Ironic as he was the one who introduced me to this band and lent me the CD)

29) Unbound (The Wild Ride) by Avenged Sevenfold

So yep, this is another post in the “Getting Over a Heartbreak” series. So this song comes off the 2007 album, and it’s a little different from their usual stuff; but just as amazing. It is a little more rock than metal, and even though quite a few people hate it I LOVE it. This is also the last album with the James “The Rev” Sullivan, before he died. 😦

Now I love this as a “Heartbreak” song as it really seems to go through the stages of overcoming the issues of heartbreak. You’re hurt and upset, but eventually you realize that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will make it through. Nothing is ever going to stop you as you will remain unbound.

Pink Elephants

14) Your Least Favorite Disney Song

I hate the song Pink Elephants on Parade from Dumbo. This song is horrible and freaked me out as kid. It actually continues to do so. This song is just wrong on so many levels. 

Everytime I see it I’m like why was this made? I mean a drunk elephant? Really disney? Really?

I can’t watch it, think about it, or talk about it. Its horrible and horrfying!

Die, die, die!

“Seeing pink elephants” term means a hallucination, caused by alcohol. Jack London is the first to have used the term in his autobiographical book John Barleycorn, as “the man whom we all know, stupid, unimaginative, whose brain is bitten numbly by numb maggots; who walks generously with wide-spread, tentative legs, falls frequently in the gutter, and who sees, in the extremity of his ecstasy, blue mice and pink elephants.”

In other news, yesterday was

Yep, I stuck to my usual tradition, calling in a pizza

When I put in my special instructions, I asked for the guy to talk in a Transylvanian accent. I mean come on, it’s Friday the 13th!

Then I put on my Ghostbuster T-shirt, as there was no way I could spend Friday the 13th not wearing that. I mean seriously.

So I was sitting down and waiting for my pizza using the Heavy Metal one as its the best

But it didn’t work. It said prep the whole time.

Anyways, so when the guy got there he didn’t want to do the accent, which made me sad as I really wanted it! It’s Friday the 13th! Keegan would have done it (that was the delivery guy I had last time). I play-threatened to not tip him, but got what I wanted in the end. 🙂

Since it was a full moon, I decided the films I would watch would be werewolf theme. I started off with

as I have had it referenced in so many books and movies, but it sucked. Really, really bad. Come back in October and read my review.

Which was amazing! I LOVE this movie so much. (A review of it will also be out this October)

All in all it was a pretty good Friday the 13th. 🙂

Unbound (The Wild Ride)

So if you remember from my earlier post, Sadness Is…, I love Avenged Sevenfold aka A7x. It all started with my Ex as he was obssessed with this band and would play it all the time trying to get me into it as well. I grew to love the band and if you read my earlier post you can read all about how obsessed I become over their music, and how I still am now.

So, the first CD that Michael gave me was their Avenged Sevenfold album, aka “the White Album” as Michael would call it. It was an experimental album and I just adored it. I loved the singing, lyrics, the music, music videos, etc. In fact the first song I heard (and what started my love) was A Little Piece of Heaven and I don’t know if that means I’m crazy or just a great appreciator of music. Probably both. 😉 So for the first song I’m going to write on, as there will be many, many, many, many more to follow is:

So this song comes off the 2007 album, and as I have said before is a little different from their usual stuff; but just as amazing. It is a little more rock than metal, and even though quite a few people hate it I LOVE it. This is also the last album with the James “The Rev” Sullivan, before he died. 😦

So I couldn’t find too much info on the background of this song’s creation sadly, and unfortunately the only one I know who would have a plethora of knowledge is no longer in my life so I’m just going to do an analysis on my own.

So as we see in the beginning we see that main person is trying to live their life but crap just keeps piling on, they are trying to push through to the light, but every time it seems that more and more things are in their way. I think that is something we all can relate to as bad things never come in singles. This song actually helped me through my breakup. (Ironic huh. The song my ex gave helped me get past the pain)

But I love how even though this wild ride that takes you through pain and problems, will never defeat you. You’ll never be slowed down but stay Unbound.

Isn’t that awesome! It’s like even though everything is dark and painful, just keep going because you will emerge from it, nothing can hold you back. You will achieve you dreams, get over your pain and heartache, take on anything.

Then it goes on as the viewer takes on an older note telling someone younger the need to hold on. When things are happening everything is harder, more painful, and horrible; but it will get better in time. Hold on, there is plenty of time for you to overcome it, you have so much left to live for in your life. Don’t give up!

The next verse becomes powerful again as the singer says that living in fear is the wrong way to go. That living in fear causes people to do stupid things, to make the wrong decisions. We shouldn’t view our life as being a step closer to death, but that everyday gives us the opportunity to live.

We can’t take our life for granted. We have only so much time and we need to spend each day to the fullest.
