Gone Forever

So here is another post in the Heartbreak series. This one is:

13) Gone Forever by Three Days Grace

So I had heard some of Three Days Grace before I dated my ex. I remember their song Pain, when I was growing up but didn’t really get into the music until my ex lent me this CD and I listened to it, and of course loved it. Plus I love the lead singer and guitarist Adam Gontier. You know me and my weakness for tall, dark, handsome, long-haired guitarists.

Adam Gontier

Anyways the song covers what you think it would from the title. The song is about a guy who has ended a relationship, and while he is originally sad, he knows that it is better as that person is out of his life and gone forever.

bettertoend

I love this song coming after Missing Youas in Missing You the guy is sad and says that he isn’t missing her and happy that it ended, but at the same time it has a hint that he isn’t completely over the woman who broke his heart. In Gone Forever, the guy is stating that I’m much happier now that, that particular person is out of his life. However, when reading and hearing you can tell that he isn’t completely over the person. He is doing better, but still angry at his ex and hasn’t reached complete acceptance.

HearthasNoRoom

Don’t know what’s going on
Don’t know what went wrong
Feels like a hundred years I
Still can’t believe you’re gone
So I’ll stay up all night
With these bloodshot eyes
While these walls surround me with the story of our life

what-not-to-say-to-broken-hearted-girl-3what went wrong holiday

3daysgrace

I feel so much better
Now that you’re gone forever
I tell myself that I don’t miss you at all
I’m not lying, denying that I feel so much better now
That you’re gone forever

3daysgracegoneforever

Now things are coming clear
And I don’t need you here
And in this world around me
I’m glad you disappeared
So I’ll stay out all night
Get drunk and f*****’ fight
Until the morning comes I’ll
Forget about our life

3daysgracegoneforever

I feel so much better
Now that you’re gone forever
I tell myself that I don’t miss you at all
I’m not lying, denying that I feel so much better now
That you’re gone forever

First time you screamed at me
I should have made you leave
I should have known it could be so much better
I hope you’re missing me
I hope I’ve made you see
That I’m gone forever

3DaysGraceGoneForever

And now it’s coming clear
That I don’t need you here
And in this world around me
I’m glad you disappeared

I feel so much better
Now that you’re gone forever
I tell myself that I don’t miss you at all
I’m not lying, denying that I feel so much better now
That you’re gone forever
And now you’re gone forever
And now you’re gone forever

I’ll Be Alright Without You by Journey

tinfoil

You probably know where this post is headed. Yep, its the next step in the Heartbreak playlist. We are now on:

Journey

10) I’ll Be Alright Without You by Journey

So back in December I did a post I’ll Be Alright Without You, of which I talked a lot about how this song really expressed my feelings. I only added it in this line up because it went well in the playlist.

Music

So like I said before the lyrics are really beautiful and truly express trying to get over someone.

I’ve been thinking ’bout the times You walked out on me There were moments I’d believe, you were there Do I miss you, or am I lying to my self again

journey

I do these things… (It’s all because of you) I keep holding on, but I’ll try (try not to think of you) Love don’t leave me lonely I’ll be alright without you

There’ll be someone else…I keep tellin’ myself I’ll be alright without you Oh…love’s an empty face, I can’t replace (you don’t need it)

journey I'll be alright wout you

People wonderin’ why we broke apart The great pretender here I go again These things I do (It’s all because of you)

I’ll keep holdin’ but I’ll try (try not to think of you) All I wanted was to hold you I’ll be alright without you There’ll be someone else, I keep tellin’ myself

I’ll be alright without you Love’s an empty face…Oh I’ve got to replace I’ll be alright without you There’ll be someone else, I keep tellin’ myself

I’ll be alright without you Oh…love’s an empty place, I can still see your face I’ll be alright

Breaking up is just hard to do (if it wasn’t there wouldn’t be a song titled that), and this just expresses exactly what one goes through. Remember you were fine before that person came into your life and you’ll be fine after.

7) Love Stinks by the J. Geils Band

Now this has always been one of my favorite songs, even before my break up. I think this is just a fantastic song as everyone can connect to it; no matter what age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or musical preference. Yep, this song crosses every boundary as all have been hurt by love.

music

It is one of the most famous songs by  The J. Geils Band and was released in 1980. It has been covered numerous times, the most known and famous being Joan Jett, and Adam Sandler in the movie The Wedding Singer. The song was also featured in the films  Love Stinks and  Mr. Wrong

There is no real analyzation needed as the lyrics are just a rant against love. The lyrics were inspired by J. Geils Band lead singer Peter Wolf’s marriage to actress Faye Dunaway.

You love her
But she loves him
And he loves somebody else
You just can’t win

Love triangle Boy Meets World
And so it goes
Till the day you die
This thing they call love
It’s gonna make you cry

I’ve had the blues

One thing for sure

(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

Love Stinks
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

Two by two and side by side
Love’s gonna find you yes it is
You just can’t hide
You’ll hear it call

Your heart will fall

Then love will fly
It’s gonna soar
I don’t care for any casanova thing

All I can say is
Love stinks

Wedding Singer Love False Stinks

(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

I’ve been through diamonds
I’ve been through minks
I’ve been through it all
Love stinks

(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah
(Love stinks)
Love stinks yeah yeah

Now You’re Gone

MusicThis how I feel about this song:

Everyday Sunday

4) Now You’re Gone by Everyday Sunday

Now I used to be obsessed with Everyday Sunday so much. They changed some people so its sadly not the same anymore. 😦 But I saw them one time at a concert and after that I was hooked, espechially this Wake Up, Wake Up album. I used to listen to it over and over.

Don't be fooled by its cuteness, evil lurks in that heart.

Of course like any girl I had a major crush on one of the band members. I had a a huge thing for Trey Pearson, I thought he was soooo cute. (He’s the second to the left) You know me I love tall, handsome, long-haired musicians (my weakness, every time).

talldarkawesome

In fact I have this great story of getting their autographs on my copy of Wake Up, Wake Up. So I went to this huge outdoor concert, (three days and a bunch of bands), to see them. I was first in line to get their autographs, and was fully prepared as having borrowed my mom’s sharpie with the promise to return it to her. So I was waiting in line and I had recieved Trey ❤ (squee!) and another band member, but I still needed the other two. So I was standing around waiting, when one of the guards/manager/whatever people told me I had to go because I was blocking the way or whatever. I was so heartbroken to have to leave, but started making my way out:

right in the feels broken heart

As I was walking out I ran into another member and got his autograph.

Oh yeah!

Oh yeah!

So I was still sad that I didn’t have the last signature, but then as I was walking out I ran into the last guy!  And got his autograph. But as I was walking away with my friend, I realized I had left my mom’s sharpie! And I had specifically been told to make sure I brought it back. So I ran all the way down to the autograph table, told them what happened as was given the sharpie back. It wasn’t until I got back to our tent that I realized I had my  mom’s sharpie in my pocket all along! Instead I had an awesome souvenir!!!

throw confetti

Unfortunately, I lost that pen sometime when we moved. 😦

So anyways, I majorly got off topic. So this song is part of the heartache song list I had made up. If you remember where we last left off on I Don’t Love You, we were at the point when one is horribly angry at the other person for dumping them.

Get out

But that doesn’t always stay. What usually happens, and I fall in this statistic, is that you slip back into sadness/regret that the person is gone and you want them back in your life.

So for me this song pretty much explains how I felt about everything. I hate having to say good-bye, its so hard for me to let things go.

Quotes-peter-pan-fan-art-34484241-496-355-2651fsd

As I mentioned in The End: Goodbye, Michael, Goodbye I just kept thinking about what could have been.

Summer skies two separate lives
Tell me how we let this go
I hate goodbyes, God knows I’ve tried
I’ve been staring at this phone

EverdaySunday2

I just thought I’d let you know
All these things I did not show you
I’ve just got to let you know
That I still care, still care

EverdaySunday

Now you’re gone, I’m all alone
And nothing here is right
I can’t go another day
Without you in my life

EverdaySunday

God knows I’m hurting
from keeping it inside
Right now I’m praying
that healing comes in time

EverydaySunday

I wish that I could think of the words to say
to make this feeling go away
But you know that until then I’ll be waiting here for you
I just thought I’d let you know
that I still care, still care
that I still care, still care

Now you’re gone, I’m all alone
And nothing here is right
I can’t go another day
Without you in my life

God knows I’m hurting
from keeping it inside
Right now I’m praying
that healing comes in time

Comes in time, yeah, yeah, yeah

I’ve just got to let you know
I’ve just got to let you know
I’ve just got to let you know

Now you’re gone, I’m all alone
And nothing here is right
I can’t go another day
Without you in my life

God knows I’m hurting
from keeping it inside
Right now I’m praying
that healing comes in time

3) I Don’t Love You by My Chemical Romance

So once again this was a song I got from Michael. He really got me into My Chemical Romance which I am so happy for as I just love their music, especially the Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (of which I will be posting music from later). So this is one of their singles, and actually the second-to-last album from the tour bus jam sessions.

The music video is so sad and heartbreaking as it is about two lovers and how their love quickly withers away until one leaves the other alone. The whole video is in black and white, as is the lovers.

This is also the first music video to show Gerard Way with his newly dyed black hair. Now let me say, Gerard Way is one fine looking man and he can pull off any hair style or hair color; blond, black, or pink. He is the only man I know who can have magenta hair and still look hot. 🙂 (Although my fav is brunette as I like them tall, dark, and handsome).

Well, when you go
Don’t ever think I’ll make you try to stay
And maybe when you get back
I’ll be off to find another way
So after the intial sadness, you’re angry. You’re hurt and upset and like forget you, if you’re gonna leave then just go.
MCRIDontLoveYou
And after all this time that you still owe
You’re still the good-for-nothing I don’t know
So take your gloves and get out
Better get out
While you can
You’re just so angry that all you can think of is the wrongs they did. The promises they didn’t keep. For me, there were different things we had talked about doing in the future and I was so hurt and angry, like what happened to that? What changed? I also was angry because I had put in all those hours watching all those Harry Potter films and he still owed me a Jane Austen film.
Get out
MCRIDontLoveYou
When you go
Would you even turn to say
“I don’t love you
Like I did
Yesterday”
This part I strongly connected to. Like will you even have the guts to tell me what happened? That it’s over? I mean Michael told me NOTHING! He just started ignoring me and when I went to see him he was like “nothing wrong, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” It’s like be a man and be HONEST
waiting
tiredofloving
MCR

Sometimes I cry so hard from pleading
So sick and tired of all the needless beating
But baby when they knock you
Down and out
It’s where you oughta stay

I cried so much after our breakup, it was horrible. I was a total leaky faucet. I also went back one last time to try and make sense of everything, but he told me nothing. I realize now I never should have bothered as in his mind it had been long over.
MCRIDontLoveYou
And after all the blood that you still owe
Another dollar’s just another blow
So fix your eyes and get up
Better get up
While you can
Whoa, whooa

When you go
Would you even turn to say
“I don’t love you
Like I did
Yesterday”

Well come on, come on

When you go
Would you have the guts to say
“I don’t love you
Like I loved you
Yesterday”

I don’t love you
Like I loved you
Yesterday

I don’t love you
Like I loved you
Yesterday

But you know what:
gowithlove
want to be in my life stay or go
And don’t forget
