Remember, Remember The 5th of November

So today is Guy Fawkes Day and you know what that means…

So this something I actually have to thank my ex-boyfriend for. He may have been a cheating scumbag that at times I really want to punch in the face (or kick in the junk)

But he did introduce me to some great music, V for Vendetta, and The Sandman Chronicles.

As it is the 5th of November, it is time to honor it and V. V is amazing. First of all he’s played by Hugo Weaving.

I know, what an amazing actor!!! He has some serious fighter skills!

This was my first date with my ex and all I could do was swoon over him. V, that is not my ex.

Besides being an epic fighter, he’s a man with a message and something to fight for.

Now do I agree with everything he does? No. He never should have cut Evey’s hair. A girl’s hair is more than hair, it is a part of their identity, a mark of their femininity. What he did was just wrong there.

But you can’t help but be swayed by him. He is so eloquent!

In fact, I became so enthralled that I actually wrote a song about the film from V to Evey. I composed it as I was biking to school and was unable to write it down. Sadly, by the time I got to class I couldn’t remember much. This is about all I can recall:

Because I’ve got a vendetta to win your heart

Silly huh? But what’s a fangirl to do?

So today I have a proposition for you all. Now none of you under obligation:

So last year my friend Benita, who is also a huge V fan, and I were discussing the film. She suggested that we should tag walls with Vs on November 5th to honor him. I thought that was a great idea, but didn’t want to get in trouble for vandalism. I thought we should do it in chalk, as it washes off, but that’s when I came up with a better idea!

But I thought what could make this 5th of November really special would be if we would post this picture on our facebook walls.

And then on 5 of our friends’ walls asking them to do the same. If we all work together we can cover the world!!! Think about it!

Girl on Fire

So I love taking those personality quizzes, especially ones with movie characters. I have so much fun seeing which ones I match up to. I especially love zimbio, they are better than Quizilla. Quizilla was fun, but just not as cool.

So I did The Hunger Games quiz and got:

I think it fits pretty well. I have to say I’m pretty tough and capable in most situations. I am pretty level-headed and think fast on my feet. I definitely care about my family. If any of them were chosen, I would volunteer to save them, any day. Perseverance, loyalty, honesty, and compassion are like my four most important traits. I also am an INTJ, so moral integrity, justice, etc; are extremely important to me. I’m not that big on parties, but prefer more intimate and small gatherings.

However, I am more clear on social cues and better at interacting with others. I definitely would have picked up on the whole Gale and Peeta situations. I do have trust issues like Katniss, I’m working on that though. Slow, but that’s how every process is, right?

To be honest I don’t know what I would do in a situation like the Hunger Games. I’d like to think that I would be cold-blooded to survive, but still be trusting and caring like Peeta. But, I don’t know, and I hope I never find out.

And I would start a revolution. I have tried before at an Oxfam  banquet when I tried to overthrow the high class to get a salad, but that will have to wait for another blog post. I know, it doesn’t make a whole lotta sense, but will when I write it out.

The biggest difference between Katniss and I is the whole Peeta question. I LOVE Peeta, and would have definitely pick him over Gale. I mean Gale is great but Peeta is awesome!!! Click here to read why I think so.

My New BF

So we all have those days when we are just chilling, reading a book when it happens. That perfect person just appears out of nowhere, and you know, you just know that’s the guy you want in your life.

Yep we’ve all been there. You just find that perfect guy, the best one to add to your collection of literary boyfriends. Let’s face it girls, we’ve all been like this at one time:

I have to admit, I got quite a few in mine. 🙂 So anyways, as you are all probs wondering where I am going with this. Well my friends passed on a quiz to me, that I thought I would share with you.

Yep, it has just been confirmed. I’m not totally crazy, I am justified. My Austenitess does not make me insane, Mr. Darcy would be my literary boyfriend. I mean how could I resist him?

You all know how I feel about libraries!

I think it would work out between me and Mr. Darcy. We both are INTJs and I could totally understand him. It’s funny because my friends always say that they think I take after Elizabeth, but I totally get Darcy. I’m the same way with meeting people, it can be hard because I’m awkward, but I try and overcome it. Plus he’s such a nice guy, what’s not to love. You know, after he stops being snobby and cold.

After all you deserve a Darcy.
