But seriously, that’s a major thing I look for in a guy. He could be a dream guy straight out of a romance novel, but he wouldn’t anywhere right for me if he didn’t love reading. Books and reading is such a part of who I am, its impossible for me to imagine myself with anyone who didn’t feel the same way.
Yeah pretty much.
See Dean Forester knows what’s up! That’s why he was perfect! ❤
I think this is the best Disney sequel ever! And you know why, because it had its own unique storyline. It didn’t rip off the first one (*cough* *cough* I’m looking at you Little Mermaid II); take place during the first film and completely reconstruct it (*cough* *cough* I’m looking at you Bambi II); or make the characters act like jerks (Lion King II); or are insanely stupid (Cars 2). Instead it did what every great sequel should do; take the story further, develop the character, and be able to stand on its own.
So the first film was about the rivalry between the two toys, as Woody is jealous having been tossed aside for the new guy, Buzz. Woody gets rid of him, only to have to go after them and in the process both go through changes as Buzz has an existential crisis and Woody realizes that he has been far too judgmental. They team up, take out the bad guy, and become best buds!
So the second film we take a different approach. In this one Woody has been preparing to go with Andy only to get injured and has to stay behind. In this film he gets stolen, and while orginally wants to return to Andy, he is presented with the question of what will happen when Andy grows up. This took the film in a brand new direction that was just amazing, as it deals with the complicated question. Is it better to go back to the person who loves you, who will only have a limited time with; or should you go on to be loved by all forever, but never form a personal connection again?
We also see the growth of Buzz, as he has to help lead the team taking Woody’s place in instructing the other toys. This is amazing as we see how much Buzz cares for the others now instead of being all about himself and his “mission”.
We also get new characters; the adorable Jessie who ends up with Buzz, and Bullseye the incredibly adorable horse.
As this is a sequel we get double the villians, Al the greedy guy who steals Woody, and Stinky Pete; jealous of the adoration that Woody has had over the years as no child ever wanted or loved him.
Now if you remember from my earlier post, The Right Path is Not the Easiest One, I said that I would expand on this song. Now I know many will not agree with me and think that other Disney songs are more romantic, but I think this one is the best.
This song was written by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz to be sung by Mel Gibson and Judy Kuhn during the scene in which Pocahontas goes to visit the imprisoned John Smith. They ended up cutting it, although if you buy the newer DVD Pocahontas they have the scene included, but having it in the credits, sung by artists Jon Secada and Shanice.
If I never knew you
If I never felt this love
I would have no inkling of
How precious life can be
And if I never held you I would never have a clue How at last I’d find in you The missing part of me.
In this world so full of fear Full of rage and lies I can see the truth so clear In your eyes So dry your eyes
And I’m so grateful to you I’d have lived my whole life through Lost forever If I never knew you
If I never knew you I’d be safe but half as real Never knowing I could feel A love so strong and true
I’m so grateful to you I’d have lived my whole life through Lost forever If I never knew you
I thought our love would be so beautiful Somehow we’d make the whole world bright I never knew that fear and hate could be so strong all they’d leave us were these wispers in the night But still my heart is saying we were right
Oh if I never knew you There’s no moment I regret If i never felt this love Since the moment that we met I would have no inkling of If our time has gone too fast How precious life can be… I’ve lived at last…
I thought our love would be so beautiful Somehow we’d make the whole world bright I thought our love would be so beautiful We’d turn the darkness into light And still my heart is saying we were right we were right
And if I never knew you If I never knew you I’d have lived my whole life through Empty as the sky Never knowing why Lost forever If I never knew you
Words cannot describe how romantic this song is. You showed me true love, without you life would be so gray. “I’d have lived my whole life through, lost forever, if I never knew you”. So cute!
So my ex played the piano, and I remember one time trying to get him to play this song for me because its my favorite. He couldn’t as he didn’t recognize it, but one day I would like to have this played for me. Maybe if I get married I’ll play it at my wedding.
Belle is so awesome! She’s beautiful, rocking her ponytail. Belle is just so sweet, smart, and able to hold her own against skeezy guys.
The best thing about Belle is that she just is herself. She loves to read and even though people find it strange is always out getting her stuff, rereading her favs. (Just like me)
Instead of settling for the “hot guy” she turns him down, set on waiting for something real. She is intelligent and okay with being that way. It can be hard to find people who “get her”, but who cares.
She is willing to give her life for her father (she didn’t know that the Beast wouldn’t hurt her).
Take me instead
She won’t allow the Beast to yell at her or order her around
But still thanks him for everything
She starts becoming the beast’s friend, overlooking everything “ugly” about him and seeing his true heart.
Belle could
When he lets her go, she comes back. Just like she promised.
And the end their love goes on. She’s awesome! So ya, Belle is awesome. She and I are so much alike.
