When You Don’t Want to Deal With Other’s Feelings

At least once in their life every body has had somebody like them who they don’t like back. I know I have had quite a few.

Usually the first thing I do is just play dumb to it.

Or I try to ignore it:

And of course try to make sure you aren’t alone together:

But then inevitable will happen. The feelings will be said and you will have to try and deal with them, whether you want to or not.

One time I had a guy tell me he liked me, and I told him…you know what:

And then the conversation went like this:

“Him: Did you hear what I said?

Me: Yes.

Him: We need to talk about this!

Me: Well we could be talking about pepperoni and sausage, but find then.”

Sometimes guys take the rejection/let’s just be friends well:

When You Least Expect It

 

Everyone has someone they would rather not see.

And why does it always seem that when you aren’t thinking about them and totally don’t want to see them they walk back into your life?

really?

That happened to me the other day. I ran into my ex-boyfriend.

So I was headed to the movie theater to see the original Ghostbusters (1984) as it was being rereleased in theaters.

I was so excited that I even wore my ghostbusters costume.

Taking fandom to the EXTREME!

But then things went wrong. My theater app wasn’t working right so I had to print out my confirmation, but then of course the printer wouldn’t work.

Then I ended up getting stuck behind the theater security guy twice!

I then got stuck behind an old man complaining about the computer ticket window.

Just one thing after another

I finally reached the line and who should be in front of me? Michael.

Out of all the times in the past two years for me to run into him at the theater dressed in a Ghostbuster costume.

Sometimes I think my life could be a sitcom.

Now the last time I saw him was like two years ago and I was over him and the fact he cheated on me.

But because I don’t care doesn’t mean I want to see him. It’s like when you pass an area where a skunk has been, there is a bad stink that permeates the air and takes forever to get away from.

I had to wait behind him in line, but thankfully he was with his best friend. If he had been with the girl he cheated on me with (and later married) I don’t know if I could stop old hurts/my temper flaring up. I may have moved on, but in every path there are bumps in the road.

Anyways, I didn’t want to ruin the night, or taint it any further, so I just tried to ignore him.

Although I have to admit for a moment I felt pretty silly that after all this time I was dressed up in a costume.

But then that moment passed as I remembered how awesome I looked and how I totally rocked my costume.

And of course I saw that he noticed me and his reaction made me really upset. You see after he dumped me I went to talk to him and see if we could work it out. He acted cold and angry.

And angry after when I ran into him at the play.

what?

And angry at the theater when he saw me.

I’m like, excuse me?

What on earth do you have to be angry about? I’m the one that was cheated on! I’m the one that was dumped. I was the best girlfriend and you were the one who messed it up. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE ANGRY! I’M THE ONLY ONE ALLOWED TO BE!

It made me angry with him all over again.

What a horrible-

It really made me want to go up to him and just teach him a lesson.

But then after that moment of anger subsided, I remembered that if we hadn’t broken up I might have gone on longer dating a guy who didn’t appreciate me.

And I’m much happier as I am now then I ever was with him.

Cat Lovers All Know This

Yep every cat lover knows what this feels like. Cats are their own creatures and do what they want.

T.S. Eliot really knew what he was talking about in his Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats. Yep cats do what they want, and you can’t do anything about it.

Just try telling them what to do. All you get is a stare, a meow, and the cat doing exactly what you asked them not to.

And what about when you try to read a book or go on your laptop? Instant rubbing, stepping, and messing with.

But as much as they ignore you, mess with your stuff, and just do what they want..they are utterly adorable and you love them. After all:

Concentrated Awesome

Being short is hard.

Clothes are always too long on you, you have to climb on things to reach them, people are always ignoring you, they think you are a child, etc…

So this song was only covered by Huey Lewis, but he is who I am going with as this is the version I am the most familar with and love. It was originally written by J.J. Jackson in 1966 and quickly climbed the charts, becaming the best dance song of the decade. It was actually recorded in England and had a lot of famous musicians of the day, such as Terry Smith, Dick Morrissey, and John Marshall.

So the song itself is pretty explanatory. It’s about this guy who’s girl never had time for him and broke his heart. But he’s like its alright, because I’ll be fine. You’ll be the one missing out, not me. Of course we are still in the angry section, so he’s like you’re going to meet someone who will treat as horrible as you treated me.
